Why not both? It's just a matter of where you promote them. Obviously you wouldn't want to start spamming the comm in r/theredpill, but surely there's subreddits with a userbase not unlike ours.

Agreed. Tumblr for all its flaws (and sometimes this in itself is a flaw) can be compartmentalized and the worst shit avoided.

Reddit is just one big port-a-potty where sooner or later everything gets a little bit of turd stuck on it.

I feel like you have that backwards. I like both websites but reddit is by far more compartmentalized.

I respect that you feel like that and that's your experience, in which case I feel like you have access to some golden form of reddit and you should treasure that and enjoy it.

It hasn't been remotely my experience. Although askhistorians is great.

Structurally, that's the opposite of true.

Half of the problem with Tumblr is that it's not at ALL compartmentalized, so there's no way to keep things within a community.

Reddit has separate subreddits for different communities, and that separation remains largely intact. Your description absolutely fails to match the facts.

Tell that to the stormfront types and the fph refugees.

I don't even. I don't want to defend Reddit, but for god's sake, Tumblr is everything wrong with the Internet culture these days. Tumblr endorses stupidity and misinformation.

No no no, not reddit.

8chan.
