(Anonymous) 2015-09-13 01:00 am (UTC)(link)Well, except the not liking Dean part, I've always loved that character. Over the past several seasons, I have come to genuinely hate Sam - so much so that I basically fast forward through his scenes if there's not another character I enjoy in it. And while I don't mind Cas, it's pretty clear that the writers don't care for his character, have no idea what to do with him, and are only keeping him around because they like the actor and maybe even because they're a little scared of his fanbase.
But I genuinely loved the side characters. I adored Kevin and Charlie, I loved Benny and Abbadon and Linda Tran and Bobby. Even the one off characters can be fascinating - Maggie and Don Stark, Aaron Bass, Henry Winchester. Despite the quickly declining quality of the show, I've stuck around because I enjoy the mythology and the side characters. But now...
Charlie's death was atrocious - just horribly written, made no sense, and was gross as fuck, (When one of your lead actors calls it bullshit and the creator gets booed at Comic Con, something is wrong there.) It appears that there will be no real storyline for Dean in season eleven other than looking after Sam (we're back to Samnatural, I guess). The quality has dropped down to barely coherent...
Hopefully I can finally drop this show now.
