I can get this, OP. I'm a business owner and I actually DO understand things like hidden costs, the difference between net and gross, etc.

I've had a lot of fandom acquaintances over the years who just really didn't understand that kind of thing at all. It does get really tedious sometimes because everyone has a lot of opinions about how companies should operate and what products they should release, but they generally don't have the slightest clue what would go on behind the scenes to make that happen.
