People who wear non-perscription, non-sun-glasses as fashion accessories. Those huge 'suddenly cool again' frames which were SO out when I was forced to wear them as a kid (not a lot of choice involved, fashion was not the criterion) but now every hipster and boho-chick clown wears about with their plano lenses. We of poor eyesight earned our suddenly fabulous face jewelry as a compensation for bad eyesight and being mocked mercilessly as hopeless four-eyed geeks in childhood. Anybody else can fuck right off.

i need glasses and i bought the defacto hipster glasses because i like how they looked, but now i'm too embarrassed to wear them because i'm afraid to be assiocated with those types

I need thicker frames to fit my chunky lenses in so they don't stick out.

They're more comfy on my nose, too. Idk why.

Seconding - you should totally rock them! a) the rest of your style will cut down on the associations and b) it is totally obvious (refraction!) when lenses are prescription.

What about we who wear glasses because we need them, but were never made fun of for them? How do I reconcile wearing something I need but never earned the right to wear, according to you? :( Should I be forced to stick with contacts?
