Jian Ghomeshi, the CBC radio host who had sexual assault charges brought against him last year, used to be in a band called Moxy Fruvous that I listened to a lot; their music even helped me break the ice with someone at a time I felt very isolated and probably wouldn't have talked to otherwise. The other three band members maintained they had no idea and afaik hadn't been working with him since MF dissolved in 2000, so I feel kind of ok listening to the songs where one of them sings lead. But there's still a pall over it. (And also made one of the songs he does sing lead on (more) creepy in retrospect.)

I used to love Moxy Fruvous too. I met the band members and got their autographs several times, and now it feels creepy, even though I really do/did love a lot of their songs.

Only ever went to one show, where a friend and I got t-shirts. And now it's creepier that the merch seller (not a band member, but older, salt-and-pepper-haired guy) told my friend to get the smaller of the sizes she was looking at for a "sexy" fit, with a wink -- we were in our late teens at the time. (She left to try it on immediately, though, and he quickly dropped his smile and glared at me through my whole transaction with him afterwards, since clearly it was me fucking up his chances.)

Anyway, at least the rest of the band seems to be above board and doing well.
