As an outside observer, can I just say, what is it with y'all's politicians and political backstabbing? It seems like internal maneuvering and factional infighting is a really major theme in Australian politics in a way that's much more pronounced than most places. Even reading about older political events, it seems like there's a constant hum of leadership challenges, palace intrigues, etc. Is that a correct analysis, and is there in your mind any reason for it?

I mean I appreciate it as an outside observer, because it's very entertaining, and it seems to be done with a certain amount of style. But it seems very distinct.

Idk it's not like I paid much attention as a teen so I don't know how common the "back stabbing" is, beyond the past couple of years after, what, 12 years of the one person?

But I'd prefer backstabbing over being forced to be stuck with a PM who fails over and over.
