I'd be completely against porn of Ruby and Saphire. In fact, I don't want to see porn of Steven Universe at ALL.

But this is not a case in which the author tired to write child porn with that excuse of the age as in... well, all lolicon manga. It is a canon couple formed by two short people (That we almost never see since they're usually fuzed into a very tall woman that is OBVIOUSLY an adult) who we NEVER see in any kind of sexual situation or even sensualized poses.

Idk, as a very short person I am often kind of annoyed by the "short=children" thing in regards to Ruby and Sapphire (since they canonly definitely are not). But I'm also generally annoyed with the fandom's constant searching for an excuse to call any and all ships problematic, so...

generally speaking, I agree with your point, but ruby and sapphire are also pretty rounded and cute looking. it's kind of a...chibi aesthetic, for lack of a better term, and there's not much that otherwise signifies them as adults visually. that said, I'm not like, opposed to SU porn or anything, just that I can see why others would be uncomfortable.

NAYRT, but as a member of the "short and chubby" club who also looks very young in general, this is super annoying to encounter in real life. Nothing like being constantly mistaken for a 12 year old at 32. People have asked if my high school graduation photos were from primary school, and it's true, I looked about 10 in them. The number of creeps who've hit on me thinking I was way underage... ugh. I think the number of non-creeps who haven't hit on me has more to do with my not being attractive generally, but whatever. I have no stake in SU shipwars; this kind of discussion just pushes a lot of my buttons.

they still look like children to me, so anything beyond mild pda grosses me out. not to mention almost all of their interactions are arguements, so their character come off as mentally childish to me too.

... "shipping them" implies that they're not a canon couple and thus the idea that they are in a relationship is out of the scope of the series. That's why I made the correction.

And again, we don't see them that often UNLESS they're arguing becuase when they're not arguing (98% of the time) they are in such perfect armony that they are a perfectly stable individual. So I really don't know how the only two beings that can be fused 24/7 without any problem are "mentally childish"

(on the other hand, I totally understand why anything beyond what is shown in the series grosses you out and I agree that in general, anything beyond mild pda with ANY SU character is kind of odd)

Maybe these specific characters, yes, but even though I don't watch this show I've seen some of the other gem(?) characters, and aside from being pretty stylized they actually look like adult women to me.
