That could be interesting. Though at that point I think we'd want to see 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' by a much more esoteric, dreamlike director than Blade Runner 2. (sort of like how there's a 'Roadside Picnic' adaptation coming up instead of a remake of Tarkovsky's 'Stalker.')

Which would be something I'd line up to see, taking on the actual themes of the novel instead of the noir-inspired 90 degree angle turn the original Blade Runner was.

I guess we'll see. Odds are strong it'll blow, but god, I just hope it isn't Robocop-remake levels of suckage.

It would need a different sensibility than Villeneuve's, that's for sure. But if Scott is involved, then it probably will be more of a "hardboiled" part deux take. Gahhh, don't mention Robocopy, would you? D-: The odds just aren't good at all, I agree. Which is a terrible thing.

I am stealing 'Robocopy' because for some reason I've never heard that. And it's perfect.

I just hope it's an enjoyable film. It would be nice if they at least try to do something interesting, visual, and new with it instead of acknowledging the audience ownership too much and catering to us old fangroups. I don't want to see just 'REFERENCES: THE MOVIE.'

Steal away, steal away. I thought it was an abomination, hence my snarktastic re-titling. My bar is set so low for Bladerunner 2, I honestly expect it to be just as bad as, if not worse than, Minority Report. And that's saying something.
