Yeah... As much as I want to be passively supportive and say more canon gay pairings would be good... I am very, very cynical about how well romances are done in TV and movies. Computer games and books I have slightly less cynicism, because they have more breadth for romance, but it varies from game-to-game, book-to-book too.

So TL;DR, I have more faith in finding good romance in fanfic.
