I feel like most fictional characters are hotter when dirty. (Or bloody. I love seeing my Dragon Age characters covered in blood; I know in DA2 in particular, I was kind of sad when Hawke wasn't covered in blood.)

Not sure I would say it turns me on, but I find it aesthetically appealing all the same. (Which I feel is sort of odd because I worry about germs a lot IRL, and love being and feeling clean.)

Steve is an excellent example, though!

*nods* Many things "do it for me," but dirty is pretty high on the list. Especially for characters who are always clean & well put together, like Steve or, saaaay, Norrington, from Pirates of the Caribbean. Scruffy!Norrington is the best. *sighs dreamily*
