I can see why they wouldn't want to leave such a steady paying job. Until a fan does something major crime related, they probably don't worry much about all the other crap.

That was my thought. For all the shit they put up with re: crazy fans, it's probably really nice that they've got a steady paying job as actors for 10 years now. Can't fault them for wanting a steady paycheck.

YES! I love those guys, but c'mon, it's time to move on. I want to see them acting out new roles and doing different things. I feel like they have such potential (especially Jensen) and can do better things. I dropped watching Supernatural after the Apocalypse arch, so I have no idea what they're doing now on the show.

Because how dare people who think amd feel differently from you use Twitter, right? Undesirable tweets and those who tweet them should just go away.

Wellllll, I can see where OP is coming from. Jared has serious "foot in mouth" syndrome when it comes to Twitter.

So? Doesn't mean he shouldn't express himself, even if it does need clarification.

If you can't clearly express yourself in 140 characters or less (while consistently saying stupid stuff), maybe Twitter isn't for you.

Nooo it's pretty much because Jared is an idiot but before Twitter people didn't realise. How is PR manager hasn't chopped off his fingers in a desperate attempt to stop him from tweeting is a mystery for the ages.

It's not that he has controversial views or anything; it's that his foot is forever stuck in his mouth.

I feel like twitters in general must be a nightmare for PR managers.

I have this image in my brain of Jared's wife and his PR manager managing to "lose" Jared's cellphone every so often just so that he won't tweet something that will accidentally offend 65% of his fanbase.

As he usually does.

I think that even though I've been done with this show for several seasons, my personal taste doesn't mean I think they need to end it and ruin it for those who still enjoy it. As long as everyone involved will still do it and there are still viewers, why should the stop?

I'll agree with the second part of this, though. Jared's twitter has made me dislike him and he really should stop.

I rarely do in threads. But I am saddened by Jared (and lately Gen's) behavior on their Twitters, and I'm pretty close to unfollowing them, which makes me even sadder, because they used to be awesome people.

Late but.....

The boys still enjoy the show, enjoy their roles, and are perfectly happy doing what they're doing. Who are you - or anyone - to say it should all end? You hate the Show - good on you. You hate Jared's tweets - why are you reading them? Sheesh. Why make yourself unhappy just so you can whine?

I agree with you, but I can also see where OPs coming from. Kinda.

There's something sad about seeing a show you used to love become unrecognisable and flogged to death. Even if that's one person's POV, I can still understand OP being upset about it.

Sure, but - what's the point? I feel that this happened to 'Bones'. It was *so good*, and now it's just not. But - i don't watch it, i don't follow any fan sights, i don't post things about it and pick it apart.

Some people still enjoy 'Bones' - I still enjoy Show. It just seems a useless waste of time to continue torturing yourself over it.

I guess here, at least, you get a ton of validation for dumping on the show, so that might be the point, but even that seems just...ridiculous.

I dunno. I totally see where you're coming from. I mean there's a big jump from just feeling miffed about it to actually attacking it for not being what you want.

Though I have to confess, I do miss the initial formula of SPN. Nothing against Castiel, I just really loved the mix of American road trip, dysfunctional family and the ghosts, ghouls, etc. It was awesome. :)
