Well yes and no, because character design and semiotics is complex, a character can both unrealistic and given signifiers of ethnicity.

Not to mention that you have three human black women as recurring characters who are not seven feet tall with three eyes and giant fists.

Ghanan, actually. Nanefua is based off of the grandmother of series producer Ian Jones-Quartey, Theodosia Okoh, a famous Ghanan stateswoman.
