(Anonymous) 2015-09-18 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)It's Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise. The background image is from a shot where the main character looks up into a ceiling painted with a religious fresco.
It's actually kind of a grey and gritty film, but the art is very well thought-out, and I felt like this was a good image to illustrate my point without including anything from the debated scene.

(Anonymous) 2015-09-19 12:30 am (UTC)(link)I'd be thrilled if more people got something out of it. :) The attempted rape is very brief, and abortive. The film lacks an emotional climax without it. Having watched the cut version recently, it's been on my mind. It's sort of a grimly optimistic film. I recommend it to everybody but warn them about the content.
