Re: Was ______ really canon?

Does anyone know if Sorey/Mikleo from Tales of Zesteria is actually a canon pairing? I mean like acknowledged, 100% yes-we're-in-love-with-each-other-romantically, on par with Luke/Tear level canon? 'Cause I'm getting hella mixed signals on it, but it sounds like it's honestly just wishful thinking on the part of the fandom.

It's not canon but had tons and tons of subtext plus ship teasing that it could have been one. You can even imagine them being one after the ending.

Thanks for answering! That's about what I thought, yeah. That's too bad, I was really hoping it was going to be genuinely canon. Not that I'm against tons of subtext, a lot of my favorite pairings are like that, but it would have been nice.

Has Tales ever done a same sex couple/gay character? I only remember the 'obsessive fop' stereotypes, like Dist.

Nope, which is why I was kind of hoping for it. You could certainly make arguments for certain characters (like no one on Earth is ever going to convince me that Rita isn't a dyed-in-the-wool lesbian and that she's not head over heels in love with Estelle), but nothing's ever been outright stated. It'd be nice if we could get one!
