I personally just don't see Idris Elba as Bond. He's a fine actor and I wouldn't mind if Bond were a different ethnicity, but he just doesn't feel right for the character. No idea why. Bit too serious maybe? Though the last few Bond movies have been pretty serious too...He's a bit too solid, trustworthy. Bond should have a slippery quality.

That makes no sense. I'm sorry.

Someone has never seen The Wire. You can see Idris Elba playing slippery and sly while using a genuine Baltimore accent for three straight seasons.

Also, he can be funny as hell. I cite "Absolutely Fabulous" and "The Office (U.S.)."

He'd be an amazing Bond.
