(Anonymous) 2015-09-19 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)1) Bilbo from The Hobbit. I know it's done a lot in fic, but that's usually exactly to change the dynamic. It might just be me, but if you change Bilbo (and keep all the dwarves male), it's less about differences in culture and more about differences between the sexes. Bilbo's the homebody, the one who enjoys cooking, the peacemaker, etc. All very stereotypically female things.
2) A lot of Star Wars characters. Though I suppose you could swap them all. I say this mainly because so much of SW is about fathers and sons.
