Also Draco x Hermione. I hear that was a popular ship but I cannot understand why other than self-insert purposes.

He literally hates her and everyone likes her, and at one point wished her dead, for being muggleborn.

Shippers; But he secretly loves her.

Don't even get me started on the fics where he decides that while he hates "mudbloods" , she's the 'exception'. And this is supposed to be 'romantic'.

Yeah. What even? How is that romantic? You're basically saying, "I hate everyone else like you except you because I have a thing for you."

It pissed me off so much that I wrote a racist character who has that attitude toward someone who they is part of a group they are bigoted against, and they have the proper reaction. Punching him in the face and telling him to leave her alone/stay the hell away from her.
