IDK I haven't been introduced to a whole lot of people's pubic hair.

Yeah, that's pretty much been my experience. Even blond people tend to have darker hair down there.

it's pretty much always curly i think but some people have it blonder/redder, or more sparse, and some people you can't see the skin through and it really is a bush, some people only have it around the lips/around the base of the dick and some it roots even up to the bottom of the shaft or to the inner thighs, the "hairline" along the belly is differently placed or shaped, some have a happy trail and some don't even across gender lines, etc etc.

i mean unless they're super blond, like, nordic white-blond, it's gonna be a pretty dark, brownish blond, but it doesn't mean it'll be black or so dark brown it might as well be black either.

No. Shaving is nice, but pubic hair can be very silky and alluring, besides a good treasure trail on guys always gets my imagination going.

I think it's gross myself but fuck that shaving shit. I shaved my bikini line a few times, and it caused an itchy and burning rash that was just as ugly as the hair, and doesn't go away until it starts to grow back in. I don't bother anymore. On the very rare occasion that I go swimming, I wear shorts over my suit.

Did you get the skin properly wet first (like shave after a shower) and then exfoliate after? Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate. It'll be ingrown hairs galore unless you exfoliate.

There's always the waxing option. But that also requires exfoliating.

One day if I have money to burn I'm just gonna get laser...

Yes, it was wet, and no, I didn't exfoliate. And I'll be honest, it does not sound worth the trouble. I wear a swimsuit maaaaybe once every two years (I don't like being wet) and nobody sees me in my underwear.

The hair on your head is a lot more dirty and in contact with dirt and bacteria than the hair down there actually.

Besides color, the amount of hair and the area is covers can be different. Most people draw characters with no hair ever. It's understandable since society tends to maintain that at the perfect standard of beauty. I suspect the artists don't even really think about it much when they're drawing.

However, for some characters I'm honestly wondering why they don't have hair when I see them because for me it doesn't match either their personality of the world they're from.

Then again, I block porn from my dash so it's not like I see them that often anyway unless I end up scrolling through the tags. So I'd put it down as something that is nice to do but it's really, really not a top priority for me.
