Ugh, this song! The guy asks THREE TIMES if he can marry this man's daughter, and every time he gets a 'no', he goes off whining about how rude the man is and how he's 'gonna marry her anyway' - what, you think that's gonna improve your chances of winning paternal approval? And if the asking is just a formality and you're gonna marry her one way or the other, why do you KEEP ASKING?
