I finally got some of those Lay's Biscuits and Gravy chips! And while they were not terrible, they were not that great (the truffle ones are way better). I was really disappointed but luckily my boss will eat anything.

Not food related, I was really disappointed by Fear The Walking Dead. While I am definitely going to watch it on Netflix when the whole show is released, it has not been able to hold my interest enough to watch it live.

What has disappointed you recently?

The Halloween housewares selection at Target and some of my local craft shops. Nothing decent. The best thing I've found was a crow skeleton. No even slightly durable plates or anything, it's mostly crap.

Although the eyeball lights were tempting.

My first thought, "Of course the don't it isn't anywhere near Halloween!" My second thought, "OMG. Halloween is next month."

The Castle season premier. It was mostly meh. And I thought at least we'd get a good torture scene, but no we get spiders instead.

I didn't even know it was back. This assessment makes me want to watch for the apparent WTF factor, but on the other hand... I've been "meh" on Castle for a while.

(TBH I miss when it was a lot lighter and quirkier. Which is hypocritical and ironic considering at the time I wished it were a bit more serious MORE of the time, rather than just having one or two intense episodes. WTF self.)

I liked the lighter stuff too. And the seasons where there was a good mix of light and dark. Last season was really meh for me. And also I miss when storylines actually went somewhere. That storyline with Castle disappearing had potential that was completely squandered.

I also really miss when it was mostly about the cases with the Castle and Beckett chemistry being the side. Now it is the reverse. I like them together, but there is just too much.

AYRT - I honestly think they wrote the disappearing storyline because they wanted a *shocking stupefying OMG cliffhanger* but really had no clue where they actually wanted to go with it. :/

Spiders are pretty bad though. There is one hanging out on my porch right now. :(

Spiders don't scare me at all. So I personally didn't find that torture scene at all creepy. And plus, when I get a torture scene in something I want beating and blood or something. That hits buttons for me. Spiders in a bag does not.

Spiders I know about don't bother me. It is the small or surprising ones that do.

:( After all the trouble you went to finding those Lay's chips, it's a real shame you didn't care for them.

And I think I'm one of the few people who is actually loving Fear the Walking Dead. I'm not exactly in love with the cast yet, but since this is only the start of the show I don't expect to be; it took a while for the original Walking Dead cast to grow on me too.

Uh, The Doctor Who premiere was disappointing, but not majorly; I didn't go into it with lots of expectations, but it lacked excitement and other than Missy, it felt pretty hollow to me.

I was also kind of disappointed at how short the main story in the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Inquisition was (and how few additional remarks there are from your companions), but again, not exactly surprised because I'd heard as much. Still...would've liked a few more unique quests and more new dialogue.

The fact that Kingsman fandom has slowed down so much is sad. I haven't been reading fic recently (though I know there's still daily updates, just not as many as before) but there's not much new content being posted on tumblr. If there is, I'm missing it.

I'm going to skip my serious business answers to this question, but oh, there are a few, lol.

I think I just don't like watching stuff week by week. I am in a "BINGE ALL THE THINGS!" mood.

It sucks when you fandom starts to slow down. Mad Max: Fury Road had like...3 weeks of being a bustling fandom. Jurassic World never got off the ground. I hope the Man From UNCLE has some longevity.

Why can't all movie fandoms be Inception sized??????

I love binge watching! In a lot of ways it is more satisfying, but my issue is that if I wait to binge watching something...I'm less likely to actually watch it because of the time involved. If I can watch one episode a week it's so much easier to keep up. I don't often binge watch shows right after the other, so watching them live just works out better for me.

I understand the appeal though, definitely.

3 weeks?! That's depressing. :( I have no idea how long Kingsman had been active when I got into it, but at least I had a few immensely enjoyable months of it.

Maybe in the case of The Man from UNCLE people will start watching the TV show and get ideas for more film!verse fic. Hopefully.

*sigh* I don't know. So few films capture that wide or passionate an audience...if you go in expecting Inception fandom you'll almost always be disappointed.

Is it just a few problem students or your whole class? .I assume college level because you have office hours?

I once had a student turn in a short paper that consisted of five paragraphs copied from the course text book and arranged into block quotes with one original sentence between each.
