4. That show... dangit, SO familiar yet I can't put a name on it. Any kind person out there who knows what this is?
10. Harsh when tehre are people smarter than you, isn't it? I too wish I could have a good deal of people's talents, but all I have is my own. We'll just have to soldier on and make the best of it.
12. Newsflash buddy: Sylar doesn't fix people. Unless you by fix mean cut their heads open and absorb their succulent grey matter. I dunno, I'm swedish, you zany anglos may have changed the meaning of the word since last time I chekced, what do I know?
14. How do you know that Yatzee is a constantly, non-stop supercynical criticismmachine? He may be more accepting of people than you think. Just the fact that you realize that you have sides others can disagree with, should point to you having at least some self-distance. And I, at least, find it hard to hate people with self-distance.
17. Oooh Guilty Gear secret. And what a nice one it is: while I personally don't see I-No/Sol BEYOND temporary lays (because let's be honest here, I-NO herself seems to pretty much view the WORLD as her temporary lay), I am such a sucker for Jam/Ky stuff. Also, drinkingbuddies!Axl and Sol with possible drunken "OHGODTELLMEWEDIDN'T" may not be a turn-on for me, but Damn if it wouldn't be made of hilarity!
22. Hells no, I've been a fan since Star Fox 64. ONce again: liking shows with anthropomorphic animals does NOT equal furry. Dammit, I adore Donald Duck but I do not want his feathery self within me, IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND.
25. .. While my personal belief of Vergil is that he is as a-sexual as the traumatised yellow snow, hey: power to you if you'd want to try getting in his violent pants.
39. I'm personally a bigger fan of that hippie-guitar playing hampster, purely because everything he says is nonsense but he still thinks he's so cool. I adore people who really believe their own spaz-talk, no matter how nonsensical or annoying it is.
40. Dude. He's SNAKE. Biggest guest-star evah, fat chance they'd make him low-tier XD
43. This is one wonderfully formatted secret. Can't say I'm MUCH into HR, but I too adore the Millefiore baddies (damn those stylish uniforms and how they arouse my forbidden emotions, damn them all to heck!), and I desperately want to see what not!Beyonce's powers are.
47 AND 48. I am sorry, this hasn't really got anything to do with eitehr of your secrets... but Phoenix Wright fans, tell me that when yo uread these after another, that 48 doesn't make you think of Wendy Oldbag? I mean, seriously... she's old enough to be one of the first Star Trek slash writers, amIrite? Because I think I am. And now I'm imagining a squeeing teenage Wendy Oldbag being annoyed at people shipping the wrong people. Oh God. So glorious.
49. Heh. What a change of pace, seeing someone who says that Gainax show that's NOT Gurren Lagann helped them in life. I'm happy things worked out better for you than they did for her.
56. Dammit, now I see how hot it would be as well. Corrupter, corrupter I say!
62. If your pairing is what the picture portrays... that is hot. I have nothing of real weight to add, I just think that is hot. Also, why would your superiors or whoever is a threat to your professional goals be angry if you loved other games? Would they really be so petty?
64. That is indeed an awesome way to end a conversation. I mean, what do you say after someone says Dick Wolf? Counter with Guitar Wolf? In any case: you're awesome.
65. As is this secret. Even if the thought of those two plotting things together will keep me awake at night, paranoid and fearful.

IT IS SO GLORIOUS GLORIOUS LIKE YOUR ICON. Oh god. How can someone so... ANNOYING as Wendy Oldbag be SO MUCH AWESOME and hilarity? She's like every negative fangirl stereotype rolled up in an aging package. It's like I'm staring at the future of so many annoying females on the internet when I look at her, and it is, at the risk of sounding redundant, GLORIOUS.

Re: #47

[identity profile] militarypenguin.livejournal.com 2008-02-09 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I KNOW RIGHT. Her character is so...prophetic.

Re: #47

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I refuse to believe that it wasn't intentional, on purpose, a riff on all of crazy fandom-people everywhere. I wonder how the conversation went: "Guys, let's put a fangirl in there, a really annoying one!" "But we already have Cody, don't you think we're being red-" "Let's make her... an old lady. An ORIGINAL FANGIRL." "... Dear god you're a genius. PASS THE CRACK, WE'VE GOT WRITING TO DO."

47. Ahaha, now I'm picturing Wendy Oldbag going on and on about young fandom whippersnappers and how they're doing it wrong and like. Firing her laser blaster at people who disagree with her about pairings. ("They're so perfect and so beautiful, young people these days don't understand Kirk/Spock, it's such a shame, you know when I was a girl we --" "Actually, I think it's more of a brotherly --" "SHUT UP, I WAS TALKING!" *rat-tat-tat-tat*)

... Thanks a lot.

[identity profile] militarypenguin.livejournal.com 2008-02-09 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
And that just reminds me...that space suit she was wearing was probably her attempt at STAR TREK COSPLAY.

RP-account but still the same poster!

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
I live only to serve... and scar people's minds. Man Wendy Oldbag is probably the most awesome character of all for the nerdy players of PH (I say like there are any casual players out there) because WE KNOW. We know that's where most of us might be heading one day.
xenoglossy: (Katamari Damacy // they see me rollin')

<-- CFUD-Hyatt's OOC journal (i.e. I know who you are, silly)

[personal profile] xenoglossy 2008-02-10 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
... oh snap, I never looked at it that way before, but it's so true.

[identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Aah sorry about that XD Even after two years at camp I still don't know the OOC-journals! And yes, as was stated upthread: Wendy Oldbag is such a prophetic character... because seriously, tell me you can't imaigne her typing furiously at the keyboard, telling all those who watch Nickel Samurai or HEAVEN FORBID Real Person Slash Juan and Matt that THEY ARE DOING IT WRONG.

#4: The New Avengers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Avengers), which I watched as a child and just loved.

Re: #4

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I thought I recognised one of them. I... saw the Avengers when I was a kid. Reruns, ages ago but man I knew that some part of my brain seemed to remember one of them!

drinkingbuddies!Axl and Sol with possible drunken "OHGODTELLMEWEDIDN'T"

WIN XD

Although I'm of the opinion that Sol's been around for so long he probably doesn't care about gender anymore XD

And they did things like borrowing each other's CDs and stuff, you know?

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Weren't CD-discs considered black-tech, or did I just misunderstand that drama cd? Because I think the 'tablet' that they kept harping about and that Johnny stole sure seemed to be a CD-disc to me.

[identity profile] purple-kama.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Since I haven't listened to those, it might be just me misinterpreting a pre-fight pose with them. I stand corrected.

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Ahaha, I've just played GGXX but I've... read almost all the side-stuff I can find. So no offense, I know how GG can be CONFUSING at times, but basically one of the drama CD's, which actually HAS Axl in a bar and then Sol walks in and like, ten minutes later the bar is burned to the ground and they have to team up and have madcap buddy adventures, is about how an ancient computer terminal is unearthed. Johnny get's to the CD and figures out it's bad stuff, so he ends up cutting it up and make necklaces for his crew form the shiny parts. And apparently Sol get's shot by guns, which Ky remarks are also black-tech.

But then again, Axl IS from our time and Sol HAS been around for a long while, so it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE and perhaps intentional that those two HAVE exchanged music CD's at one point. Also, your icons is GLORIOUS so damn glorious. I love Gash Bell so much, and that is such a wonderful way to word that scene.

12 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-02-10 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
It's an allusion to his former career in timepiece restoration, hence the overlay of broken watch parts.

Re: 12 OP

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Valid point. BUt isn't it so that Sylar himself is broken? That in the end, he doesn't even want to fix things, he didn't find it as satisfying as taking things apart. Perhaps season 2, which has yet to air here has given us new insight in his character, but I can't see the Sylar that we know desiring to fix anything anymore: he wants to take things apart. Everything he sees, almost. I wouldn't really count on someone like that to fix anything anymore, much less a person.

Re: 12 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-02-10 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
I see him viewing murder as a kind of fixing, where he's restoring the world to how he thinks it should be: with him as the ultimate, the most perfect, the most extraordinary person in the world.

And this is way too much philosophy for what I originally intended as a (not-very-)clever euphemism. I do so enjoy when things get unexpectedly more interesting.

Re: 12 OP

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I've rarely found TOO much philosophy to be a bad thing. Many could benefit from thinking over things and give their thoughts a few extra spins and all. Still, having said that considering Sylar as doing anything like 'fixing' is a bit beyond my philosophy. I can see him as thinking that, I can see how he believes he is fixing things, but then using the word 'fix' yourself...

To me, that seems like, because of how the secret is worded, that you wish for him to kill you. I generally don't comment on those secrets because I honestly do not believe I have anything, beyond encouraging words that I'm not sure how effective or valid they really are, but even so... ending up as being 'fixed' by him, becoming a part of what he considers a perfect world, is no way to go. Then again, I'm the kid who didn't get into the army because he was too rebellious and psychologically unstable. I'm not much for following those with agendas I don't understand or agree with.

#62 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-02-10 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Guh, meant to post this (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomsecrets/128835.html?thread=35421763#t35421763) in response to this comments thread. HOW DO I USED LIVEJOURNALS GUYZ?

Re: #62 OP

[identity profile] georg-vanlunden.livejournal.com 2008-02-10 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Aaah, not to worry: you can't post links when you're being anonymous, to put it simply. Still, I could just copy-paste the link and now things are so much clearer! Know that this person on the internet agrees with you: that is a very, very hot image and I curse that Virtue Fighter doesn't have as large a fandom as other fighting game series ( I'm looking at you T&A I mean DOA).

And as for the fact they consider it unprofessional... I honestly hadn't considered that. But I can see the reasoning: I mean, we here in fandom are, by definition, FANS: Maybe some of us are professionals in some fields, but since we are fans we can squee and perv and be generally obnoxious and behave very unadult-like and irresponsibly. That people can't do that anymore when they actually want to be proffesional sounds a bit harsh, but... it may very well be so. Oh well. Way I figure it, if you keep it a private interest and on your own time, it's not like they can fire you for it, right?
