Parent-child incest, consummated or not, especially mother-son. Even just inappropriate boundaries between parent and child bother me too much.

I've been reading DH Lawrence lately, and I would love to read "Sons and Lovers" just to read more of this author's works, but the subject matter puts me right off. I've heard such good things about the show Bates Motel, but...nope! I'm one of the world's biggest Carnivale fans, but I can't watch past the point when Sofie and Justin get too close. NOPE NOPE NOPE

Another one -- any book whose back-cover summary involves a male protagonist who meets a woman described as "mysterious and erotic." Especially if the author is a man. Just LOL, no.


And same here for any book or tv series that is really long. Ain't got time for that.

THIS, ohmygod. Bonus points if the main character is a middle-aged writer, and the love interest is a nubile young woman old. *gags*
