Not the male fic writers I've read. They tend to write all the pairings, m/m, f/m, f/f, gen, ot3, etc, like you said.

One thing I have noticed about cis male writers is that their fics tend to be relentlessly dark and porny, or else complete comedy farce. They don't do the centre ground, or light fluffy romcom fics so much.
