I will admit, video games will make you feel like you are accomplishing something when you are really accomplishing nothing. But that's why they are both a great stress relief (I have trouble turning my brain off and video games generally can distract me enough to stop working) and are horribly, horribly addicting.

I agree, it's true but not necessarily a bad thing. It's entertainment after all, it's not bad to feel good. Not that OP implied it was so, just agreeing with you

Agreed. I'm very successful in games I play (MMOs). I'm always one of the richest people on the server. I'm a mega-crafter. I know my feeling of accomplishment in the game means I don't have to drive as hard in real life for the same feeling... but it's so much easier and safer to do it in game.
