Hermione in the first two movies was pretty much exactly how I pictured her except for the big teeth. However, the bit with her getting that fixed would have been hard to do in a movie.

As for Ron, they did the best they could casting 10 year olds. I think that turned out pretty well. It's Bill's casting that makes me foam at the mouth.

Harry's eyes, though. HARRY'S EYES!!!! Would it have been *that* hard to get green contacts? It wasn't like they were shooting on a budget!

I agree with the hair. All they had to do was let the nearest person ruffle it right before the scene.

They did get green contacts. They irritated Daniel Radcliffe's eyes so much that they gave up on them once they started shooting.

Oh, okay. I didn't know that. Mostly I gave up on the question by about the third movie, when Hogwarts entered Extreme Home Makeover: Enchanted Castles.

Fair enough, I wouldn't want him uncomfortable either. Any reason you're heard they didn't decide to make him Mom's match anyway?

He had green eyes in a few scenes in the first movie, but apparently the contacts irritated his eyes so they just didn't keep them. But yeah, they are green in some scenes nonetheless.

Dan was allergic to the contacts, but what I'd like to know is why they didn't change the colour of young Lily's eyes, especially in that extreme close up where you see they're clearly brown and look nothing like Harry's.

I feel like it couldn't have been that hard, for a movie with that kind of budget, to change the eye colors digitally while editing.

Especially for such a comparatively short amount of screen time. I can see the argument that doing it for Harry would take too much time and money, but Lily doesn't appear much.

HARRY'S EYES!!! Yes! They are SO important in the books, they are mentioned in literally every single book. FFS, they are what the dying Severus Snape mentions in his very last words! They really should've faked that if the contacts didn't work. I love the movies and in general understand why they made certain changes but that drives me crazy.
