I'm going to be judged so, so hard for this, but Frozen could easily be a fantasy version of my own experience having a severe anxiety disorder and other emotional problems. Except for the part where everything turns out okay and she's happy and functional enough at the end to handle ruling a goddamn country, but that's Disney for you.

Yes I was coming to say just this! I know Frozen is super over-saturated right now, but I still really appreciate Elsa. The first time I watched it I just connected so hard to her, especially just her mannerisms and facial expressions. So spot-on for me.
