I remember having a general love for The Muppets and Miss Piggy but haven't watched the show since childhood and haven't kept up with the films. I never realized she was abusive until the internet started talking about it.

I don't think liking her would make you an awful person, though. You can acknowledge that she does things that aren't okay while still finding her interesting.

I mean, I like Hannibal Lecter but that doesn't mean I think cannibalism, murder and abuse is perfectly acceptable human behavior. (At the same time I realize that not everyone can like fictional characters that do bad things. *shrugs* Everyone's different.)
