That looks like it would itch.

Can't be as bad as the post-shave grow-back itch.

Yep, that's the worst.

Yep, Or ingrown hair.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-03 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Urgh, don't remind me. (Never, EVER again. It's a trimmed life for me.)

If you had a skin condition or crabs, it would. Why would otherwise normal pubic hair itch? Does the hair on your head itch under healthy conditions?

I shampoo and condition the hair on my head. That doesn't fly for pubic hair. At least not with my skin.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-02 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Weirdly enough it's often the soap that makes your skin itch or react, and pubes don't really need the excess of attention. Clean normally in the shower, wear decent fabrics, don't wrap the mane too tightly in sweaty Fremen plastic on a daily basis, and your natural minge can be soft and clean and springy.

Fremen plastic?

AYRT is referring to this, from Frank Herbert's Dune:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_of_the_Dune_universe#Stillsuit

The suit was designed to trap any moisture escaping the body and recycle it into potable water, and it was a necessity for survival on the desert planet.

nayrt
Why would you put shampoo in you pubes? If you feel you need to use something other than water or skin friendly oil, you should buy some of that soap that's made specifically for cleaning your nether regions.

I occasionally shampoo my pubes oops

(Anonymous) 2015-10-03 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Do you itch afterwards?
diet_poison: (Default)

[personal profile] diet_poison 2015-10-03 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
No. Do most people?

See, I can't. I tried, but the skin underneath didn't like that very much. Super uncomfortable. It's more comfortable for me to just shave. I've found I can prevent razor bumps by gliding some deodorant over the shaved area.

(Anonymous) 2015-10-03 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't that burn horribly? And leave you with a really angry and itchy pussy? I get a yeast infection if I use the wrong kind of soap down there, how in the world can you rub deodorant on your genitals?
iceyred: By singlestar1990 (Default)

[personal profile] iceyred 2015-10-03 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Believe it or not, it doesn't. It prevents razor burn and ingrown hairs. I keep a separate deodorant stick for this purpose and I make sure it's non-fragancey. Seriously, google it.

I've recently found grow-back from shaving with a razor makes me itchy, but shaving with an electric trimmer does not. (Super happy, because I had crazy hippie bush going on, and a couple hairs got stuck to some exposed elastic on a pair of old underwear, and holy carps did that hurt when I yanked them out when I went to take off my pants.)

...wow, really? Shaving my pubes sucks. I get a huge itchy burny red rash. Shampooing literally doesn't make it feel any different to me.

I don't do it every often. Only if it starts to itch and it occurs to me to do it. (It does actually help with the itching. In fact I think I started doing it because I associate itching with lack of shampoo, because my head itches if I put off washing my hair too long.)

You don't wash your genitals in the shower? People who are in good health and wash their crotch aren't usually troubled by itchy pubes.

The chemicals irritate my skin. It gets red and blotchy. Same thing happens when I spray perfume on my wrist.

But...if you wash your body, soap will inevitably flow over your genital area, as you're soaping and rinsing. How do you stop that? Or are you saying a direct application of a big 'ole handful of soap to the nethers is what bothers you?

I think most people just glide a foamy hand over the area, rather than scrub intensely and/or insert fingers.....

Only time I have pubes related itching is when I've shaved if off. If I let the pubes grow the way they want, I'm perfectly itch free.

You are such a baby sometimes.
