This. I'm fairly easygoing about non-perishables. They don't take much time to sort out and put back. Meat or dairy, though? Grrrrrrr!

Nah it was a candy box.

I would never do that with perishables or anything cold (even a can of soda). I still remember how much it used to piss me off when people do it. Like the joker who left meat in the PILLOW and interior decor aisle when I worked at Target.

Yeah I was like "what even?" . Basic manners would say that you should at LEAST try to leave something cold in a cold place.

Otherwise its just wasted food.

As someone who once did presentation (tidying shelves), this is true. If it's still sealed, it can simply be returned to it's proper shelf.

Perishables will likely end up in the rubbish section out of caution.
