...You do see the part where OP says they still would have disapproved, right? Also, the guy!character is in college and definitely of age, and the actor is 26.

Yeeeah. The OP is obviously a prude.

I'd totally get where they were coming from if the dude was younger than 18.

I'd kind of get where they were coming from if the dude was older than 18, but not old enough to legally buy a drink (in the U.S.).

But, c'mon. Context. They guy's in his mid-20s, and old enough to make up his own damn mind. If he wants to be with an older partner, there's nothing wrong with that.

(I've made this exact same argument about older male/younger female pairings. The argument holds either way. This automatically infantalizing the younger partner in any May-December pairing absolutely drives me nuts.)

Besides, as others have pointed out, the deeper context is that this set of images is misleading at best for this particular pairing.

nayrt, I wouldn't have said that OP is 'obviously' a prude, but otherwise I agree with you. Doesn't matter to me about the genders; if both parties are legal, they're old enough to make up their own minds. That being said, it is nice to see some reversed-gender examples finally appearing.
