I wish trans people would STFU and not say shit like this:

"I'm still more emotional than before, but that feels good. I'm more patient, I'm calmer, I feel less driven than I did before I had testosterone blockers. My emotions may be stronger, but I'm more in touch with them as well."

I can already see the asshole red pillars and shitheads going:

"Hur dur…See! Women ARE more emotional than men. And they're natural child carers since they're calmer and more patient! And of COURSE women don't achieve as much as men -- they're naturally less driven! Biology!"

Seriously, STFU.

I wish all people would stop doing both extremes.

Estrogen has an effect. Testosterone has an effect.

No, estrogen won't make everyone a sobbing baby.

No, testosterone won't make everyone a raging dudebro.

This doesn't mean they don't have effects.

That doesn't mean that all women or all men have the same levels of hormones, nor that all of them are affected the same way by them.

Do they do things? Yes, broadly speaking. Will they do the same things to every person? Not at all

No, testosterone won't make everyone a raging dudebro

This is not my experience.

AYRT

"My experience = all experience"

Thanks for the reminder.

I wish people would stop doing that, too.

seconding this. had an ftm friend. testosterone didn't turn him into a dudebro but into a political extremist. he was kinda cool before but then he just went full revolutionary. typical guy principles, rebel stuff.

Are you joking? This is the poorest example of "cause and effect" I've ever seen. LMAO

I've already seen articles saying stuff like "if there's one good thing about society becoming more accepting of transgender people, it's that maybe society will become more accepting of the idea that men and women are different and all men are like this and all women are like that, and women will stop feeling like they need to pretend to be men and do anything I don't want them to do...."

I don't blame trans people for it. I blame the shitheads writing the article. I mean, it must suck for trans people too when someone acts like the most important thing about their experience is that it can be used to further a cis person's agenda.

Hormones have a profound effect on human emotions

Yeah, this is pretty much bullshit, actually. Of course, it's very easy to understand that the people saying this are doing so because they desperately want people to think of them as legitimately "female" or "male" but it's simply not how emotions or behaviour related to emotional control actually works.

People believe in an overblown propensity for sex hormones to affect emotions, confirmation bias does the rest. There's no real evidence to support that personal interpretation.

so trans people are responsible for the nonsense that red pill MRAs are going to parrot later? for vocalizing their feelings wrt transition and hormone therapy?

you sound like the idiots who say allowing for gay marriage will embolden pedophiles to seek marriage rights. gay people are not responsible for what pedophiles might do, trans people are not responsible for what sexists do either. they would be sexist with or without this "confirmation."
