The Martian

There was nothing I didn't love about this movie. The science was so realistic, everyone was believably brilliant at their jobs, Matt Damon held his own and was amazing, and things cut to the rest of the cast just enough so it didn't get dull. I'm usually not as big of a fan of hard scifi. I'm much more into fantasy. But this movie was perfect.

Also, the Tolkien nerd in my loved that little reference, particularly because it was a book reference and not just a movie one.

I am hopefully going to see it this weekend. I read the book and loved it. I am glad it has gotten such good reviews. :D

You should go. It is slightly different in tone from the book, from what I've heard. But it is really good.

Yay!! Can't wait to see it. :) Sci-fi is my favorite genre, and there are *never* enough good sci-fi movies.
