What if your problem is quantity and not necessarily quality?

What I'm interested in mostly involves buying books, most of them scholarly? Individually they're all quite impressive tomes. But when someone realizes that I have over a dozen books on the same person then it begins to look less cool/scholarly and more like a stalker shrine, I'm a bit afraid to say.

That's my excuse for not mentioning my fandoms to any of my friends/family anyway.
