I've always been older than them, so I don't mind them aging. I feel like everyone around me are babies sometimes, so somebody's gotta freaking age!

They're best friends who live together, are British, and make You Tube videos. Lots of young girls like them, and yes, there are some creepy fic writers out there.

They definitely do have lots of creepy RPF shippers. Phil (on the left in that photo) occasionally asks fans to tag things on tumbler as #heyphillookatthis and then he and Dan browse the tag together and react with laughs and horror and whatever. But on the most recent one, someone tagged some rather explicit pornographic bondage fanart of Dan under the tag and it was reacted to with horror on the video and the artist of said art (who apparently did not tag the art as such, but had it reposted by someone else) just upped and deleted themselves from tumblr. Basically, it was a wank fest.

They look cute in this picture! Buuuuuuut I also think they're both more attractive now.

I haven't known of them for all that long though, so I'm more familiar with their older selves. I think they've aged well. (lol, they aren't even 30 yet, it feels really bizarre saying this.)

However, you are allowed to think young!Dan and Phil are cute. Not a big deal.

Man. I used to like both of them equally, but the more I watch their gaming videos, the more I realize Phil is just... not very smart. I understand they have that kind of boke/tsukkomi comedy going on, but some of the things he says, I'm just like... really...

I think Phil isn't necessarily trying to be smart. He's trying to make his audience smile or laugh. A lot of his audience is pretty young, and he seems to have accepted that pretty early on and ran with it.

I actually like Phil better than Dan, personally. He's just more my style (and I'm older than him lol). :-)

I think he's actually really interesting, in that he suffered some personal loss when he was younger (according to his Draw My Life video), but he was able to build himself a life and make lots of people smile. I honestly have a lot of respect for someone who can bring joy to other people's lives, even if it's a bit silly. The world can be a dark place. Phil knows that; he just wants to focus on the happy, positive, and childish and weird to make people smile.

At least, that's my take on Phil. I think Dan is a lot more jaded / crass sometimes, but IDK. Maybe not...

Anyway that's just my opinion. ^^
