World Market and Big Lots both carry gooseberry (and black currant ), jam on s regular basis.

Black currants are dried grapes, like sultanas. Blackcurrants are berries.

Ah, I see. In the U.S., dried grapes are labeled raisins, not currants of any color.

There is a difference in drying techniques between rasins and currants though, according to the baking fanatic in the house, but don't ask me what it is.
