Heh, I'm listening to the album right now. It's pretty awesome. I've had people make fun of me for liking The Black Parade so much. "But it's for whiny emo kids!" Who cares? And what makes you so much better than those kids anyway? At least the older I get, the less I give a crap what people think about me.

I love MCR and thought The Black Parade was also an excellent concept album. /high fives you

Yeah, people might give you crap for being a fan but eh, so what. You listen to what you like. Why would anyone else's opinions matter?

Well said. I actually haven't heard that album-I'm basically generally familiar with just a handful of MCR's more well-known songs. But I do remember that album being VERY popular when it came out. So clearly there were lots of others out there who shared your love for it :). Maybe sometime I'll give it a listen myself-I did like the few MCR songs I heard when they were big, so...

I don't get people being snobby about music. If certain genres or artists aren't to one's personal taste, that's obviously fine, of course, to each their own. But I don't get why some think it's okay to mock others for the music they enjoy. As long as you're having fun listening to it and it hits all the right emotional buttons for you and all that sort of good stuff, that's all that matters.

Give them a listen. I think I'm in the minority, but I felt like with the exception of the first album (which still has some great songs), all their studio albums hold up very well as concept albums where you can listen from beginning to end and feel like it's telling a story.
