I never understand the hate either. And I too loved her hair.

The hate, I think, arises from Moffat making a classic mistake: he introduces something awesome that the fans love, and then he FAILS TO LEAVE IT ALONE. So the Weeping Angels, easily, the coolest new monsters for a generation, degenerated into self-parody with unbecoming speed. And River Song, the enigmatic, brilliant woman whose death was a mysterious capstone to a story yet untold, turned into (more or less) Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way.

I don't want her hair and I don't think I want to be her. But I do love her a whole lot. She's one of my favorite Who characters. And I can't wait for the Christmas special.

Yeah, I've always hated her, but I'm the same way: I always envy the hell out of anybody with really curly hair, since mine's always flat and won't ever hold curls (and it's also way too heavy to even stay in a bun).

My hair isn't as curly as the lady in the photo OP shared, but there is some curl to it, and it's also very thick. And I'm always envious of people who have similar hair and can manage to make it look shiny and soft and non-frizzy.

I'm not too fond of the character but the actress is a gorgeous woman and I do envy her amazing hair.

I want to be her when I grow up, too - and when I was younger, I'd have loved her hair, although I might have had problems brushing it.

Her hair is fantastic, I like her as a character as well but I always found her hair gorgeous.

I wanted to like her so much and initially, I did. But to be honest, she got annoying very quickly and by the end of her run I felt River Song was one of the series' most overrated characters. It wasn't the actress' fault, it was the writing.

She does have awesome hair, though.
