That is one of the things that drew people to Max Max: Fury Road. The world was so damn bright!

Evidently, Fury Road was in production hell for two years because climate change hit Australia and the locations used in the storyboard were covered in flowers.

Not so much climate change as one of the periodic bursts of rain that brings out the dormant desert life. Things are only going to get drier overall in most of Australia re climate change.

It's funny because Mad Max is a major influence on the Fallout setting and look. In Fallout 1 you actually get a dog by putting on a leather jacket with only one sleeve that makes you look like a certain Australian movie hero.
