Long gen fic/Character study

I'm looking for long stories that focus on fleshing out minor characters. Any fandom will do, if the fic is good enough I'll read it!

And A Doctor http://archiveofourown.org/works/497900/chapters/872795 It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn’t just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. That “doctor” actually covered a pretty wide field. And that John was bloody good at covering ground. 5 times Dr. Watson treated others and 1 time he treated himself.

That is the only one I have that is clearly tagged Character Study. I have some long Gen fics, but they are more about dynamics between characters.

Steve really needs a hobby, since modern television shows baffle him, but Clint keeps bringing him DVDs and pizza.

When Steve is forced to participate in a dangerous experiment, the consequences prove devastating. Driven by guilt and doubt, Bruce puts everything on the line to save Steve from becoming the monster within before the Avengers are forced to take down their own captain.
