That is awful. It's ridiculous that the cops can't do anything. I hope that you and the dog both end up being okay.

I've called the cops on my neighbors twice. Once was when their poor dog was howling non-stop for over an hour. And once was when there was a gunshot in the house next to mine.

They have a child in the house! God forbid the kid ever do normal kid things and startle/poke at the dog!
