I don't think either of them should have come back after dying the first time.
This show was such a disappointment for me when I finally decided to gove it a try because From the visuals you might expect something like The Blues Brothers meets The X Files and they give you a soap opera with a few monsters thrown in.

You see things weird if "Blues Brothers meets X-Files" is the vibe you got from the visuals.

DA Not really - Kim Manners directed many of the early episodes and he was very much part of the X-Files' visual style.

NAYRT but IMO the weird part of the comparison is the Blues Brothers part not the X-Files part.
