OP actually lied about trying it in all those formats. OP actually just tried the butchered versions that are pretty much universally accepted as really, really bad, and then lied to their friend about it.

idgi because like. One name being translated differently is all I've been told was sooooo awful it couldn't possibly be overlooked? OP is upthread talking about how they dislike Luffy endangering himself and those around him for a nebulous goal. That seems like a pretty core reason they'll never be able to get into it.

Me, I can't read or watch it anymore because the women started horribly drawn and got SO MUCH WORSE. I dislike Disney for creating female characters whose eyes are wider than their legs. I can fucking hate on an anime for giving a character boobs four times the width of their waist.
