If i had an actual objection, I'd make it. I don't. I just have a lot of feelings pro Cartinelli and anti this specific ot3. But there's not actually anything wrong with it. Just my feelings.

I can't speak for the OP, but for me it's fandom's double standard when a woman is the one who behaves abusively in a relationship.

Well, Peggy saw Steve kissing another woman, and rather than talking to him, got angry and refused to speak with him. She came across as very possessive and jealous, which put me off. In the next scene, she shot at Steve without warning, because she was so angry with him, over a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up in thirty seconds had she actually asked him what was going on.

I don't know, I just find someone assuming the worst about their love interest and then attacking them with a lethal weapon out of jealousy and anger to be very off-putting. I also know that had Steve been the one behaving like that, he probably would have been soundly condemned for it by fandom.

That scene just made me think Peggy was too immature to be in a relationship with anyone.

imagining yourself in the scenario. Is that a thing people do? (Obviously it's a thing people do since you do it, but I mean is it super common assumed activity level?) I've seen people mention something similar and always find it odd.

Unfortunately, ~98% of CA fandom only got invested in Bucky due to TWS, so fic in which he isn't brainwashed and/or traumatized and/or wearing a metal arm just doesn't interest them. (Never mind that he experienced plenty of trauma during TFA that should absolutely be milked more in fic than it has been. I mean, I adored TWS, too, but it's not the only CA movie worth writing fic about.)

DUDE I KNOW. I really wish there was more fic focusing on his experiences at Azzano - not even in like what torture the put him through but like the day to day life of living in a prison, and why he was picked for the experiment and SO MUCH POTENTIAL. And also I don't would really love more AU fic where Bucky doesn't fall but Steve still crashes the plane, and it's the two of them slowly bonding and coping with the loss of Steve. Or at least more of of them fucking interacting without Steve present, because I swear to God I'm really fucking sick of how every goddamn fic writes Bucky like his entire life literally revolves around Steve.

We should start a Bucky/Peggy support group. All two of us.

Actually, you know what this situation calls for? A fic fest. A TFA-centric fic fest. (Perhaps with the requirement that a minimum of, say, 75% of a submitted fic's word count has to be set in the '40s, to give authors a little flexibility.)

I'm not even going to think about getting a fest up and running before people (myself included) have gotten over their Yuletide hangovers, but early-ish next year could be an excellent time for it, when everyone's gearing up for CA:CW.

And yeah TFA really gets a bum rap. "I watched it and was like "...Why does everyone talk shit about this movie? This is really fun!" Also I'm sad they never found a way to bring back Steve's theme song :(((((((
