As long as they weren't a sexist, yes. Although I'd struggle with someone who was actively anti-feminist.

Yeah, there's "not" feminist i.e. they don't identify with the label, and then "anti" feminist. Big difference.

Yeah, I care more about how they treat women than how they identify.

If they don't identity as feminist, but treat women with respect? Sure.

The word itself is a hot button issue for some people, so I try to judge on their behavior instead of their labels. Sometimes it works.

That would depend on which wave of feminist they are not.

Nope. Unless they were down with the same values but just didn't want to label themselves as such.

I'm curious what feminism means to you, and particularly what kind of praxis you think feminism entails.

Oh okay, womanists are fine.

Not that it guarantees AT ALL that that person won't exhibit X, Y or Z sexist traits, or that they wouldn't spend all their time calling out all my terrible misogynist behaviours and preferences :P

What about egalitarians. Or simply Non-feminists?

Yes. Being a feminist does not mean you are a good person. And not being one does not mean you are bad.

No. If it's just a thoughtless non-decision, then I will judge them by their behavior alone.
However if they actively describe themselves as non feminist, then that's a warning sign for me.

I've never met anybody who identified as "equalist" or whatever in real life and didn't have some stupid opinion about things being "too equal" and "too PC" if you even so much as talked about privilege and -isms.

Same, "equalism" reminds me of a bunch of geeky dudes I used to hang out with (who I no longer talk to because they've gotten 10x worse and are absolutely nuts) - who responded to the idea of "equality" with: "Does that mean I can hit women back?"

Cool, cool, I'm reassured that that's the first thing that pops into your head.

I've had more issues with dudes that are very insistent how feminist they are than people who don't care one way or the way. I'm leery of dudes who are insistent about it or it's one of their defining traits.

That's different from dudes who treat women with respect or are more lowkey about being feminist.
