I really loved his acting and TBH in the films he's my favorite of the big three

I really do think his comic acting in the movies is excellent and underrated

I don't know if you've read the books, but a lot of the complaints stem from the fact that Ron of the movies is definitely flanderdized. (Especially after the first movie.) He's a lot more collected and intelligent in the books, and in the third book has a wonderful line that's given to Hermione in the third movie. (Fans around the world went into CAPSLOCKRAGE at that.)

I read the books, I just consider them totally separate. Mostly because I think the movies generally aren't very good at all. So I'm comfortable with him being entertaining and funny

Also, I am... not very high on the acting talents of Watson and Radcliffe in the movies either, so when I say I think Grint is the best actor of the three, that's also where I'm coming from.

AYRT - Fair enough. And yeah, after PoA I saw them as separate too, but it still bugged me.

I haven't watched the films much because I never cared so much about them, so I don't remember and now I'm curious: what was the line they gave to Hermione? I vaguely remember hearing complaints about this happening but I still don't know what it was.

In the third book, Ron tells Sirius (before knowing he's innocent) that he'll have to kill "us" (him and Hermione) first if he wants to get to Harry. In the movie Hermione gets that line.

I was afraid that was it.

AYRT - Yeah, it really sucked, especially as in the scene poignancy is added to the fact that Ron says this while standing on a broken leg.
