Both is stupid. In both cases you burden the other person with too much expectations.

But to be fair, this is not only a problem of dating sites but a problem of how relationsships in general work today. It's not enough to just have a girlfriend/boyfriend. Your significant other also has to be your best friend, your at all times to be available sexmate and a human version of xanax -> making sure that you're feeling good and entertained all the time and to never burden you with any kind of negativity.
