Someone is rich if they can afford to spend $50-$100 on one item of clothing.

Regularly. I've spent that amount a few times on clothing. In my life.

That's like, the normal price of clothes where I am, you rarely find much for any cheaper than that. Guess I'm rich.

You are quite well off if you can afford the equivalent of US$50 - US$100 in one go. Unless you've got the Euro I suppose. Non-rich people would be forced into trawling charity shops, markets or local resell sites.

In other words, if you don't have to pick through charity bins for your clothes, you're rich?

"pick through charity bins"
how ignorant. no you fool, buy second hand.

I have no choice unless I buy second-hand, and we don't really have second-hand shops in the area, people just don't buy second-hand clothes here. I just have to put extra money toward clothing that maybe you would put to something else. And it's not like I buy clothes often, I don't go on shopping sprees where I buy ten new items in one go or something.

and the Euro is stronger than the US dollar so I don't know what you're talking about.
