I'm glad JK didn't feel the need to do token diversity and have the wizarding equivalent of John Boyega in the series.

I wouldn't call Riordan's stuff 'token diversity'. There's gay, Native American, Asian, African American, Muslim characters in his books. Most are main characters, too.

People who say "token diversity" think there's no such thing as nontoken diversity, so your opinion doesn't really matter TBH.
