Re: Who do you want to write like?

I can't think of s particular writer whom I want to emulate, but I do know how I want to write. I want to be able to convey a sense of scene and place with as little exposition as possible. I want the worldbuilding to feel organic, natural. I want to provide closure while leaving possibilities open, so the reader has room to think about and imagine what happens after. And I want to be able to punch the reader in the gut with a single sentence.
