Well, of course. I never said otherwise. But "stop your hating because it doesn't affect you" is a stupid and pointless way of firing shots, because basically nothing on this community actually affects any of us and we could never say a bad word about anything at all. I should imagine if you're really pro-... whatever it is OP is complaining about, you'd argue about the thing in question rather than try to shut down the complaint in such a weird way.

Because it's pointless and it strikes me as the same sort of petty pointlessness that's often named at girls, how about that?

Who types like this most often? Tumblrinas. What is perceived as the common stereotype of the Tumblr ingenue? Dotty young fandom girls.

And anons *love* to pick on young fandom girls in tons of forums. They look funny, they like lattes, they got funny voices, hell, look at how they type. ZOMG BECKY I CAN'T EVEN.

It's the same petty shit as hating on all of that. It's a dogwhistle. Is that better?

...Are you using the misogyny card?

(Anonymous) 2015-10-23 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
And that's why I said it was pointless.

Look, it's arguable whether or not it's misogyny, but in my experience and opinion it's an attitude that shits on young women more than any other group. If that's a 'card', slap a Hallmark logo on its ass and eat it.

Thank you! I completely agree with this. I'm not sure I'd call it misogyny, but there definitely seems to be a gendered slant to it.

And to be honest, I'm 28 and I'll do the keysmash, and the I CAN'T EVEN, and the WHERE IS MY CHILL, and the ALL MT FEELS thing sometimes. I resisted for ages, but it's such a common language in most of fandom, so I was actually having to go out of my way to not use those things, plus they kinda seemed like fun, so after a while I just embraced them (in moderation). And I don't regret it.

I like visiting reddit's /r/funny and this is definitely a source of humour there. ANYTHING teen girls/young women in particular like or do or are stereotyped as being, is up for mockery. However, sometimes I laugh.
